Watt’s final command was as Commander, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne), responsible for leading 2,200 Special Forces soldiers stationed across 9 states. Army and Utah Army National Guard where he achieved the rank of Colonel. In addition to his law enforcement experience, Watt is also retired from the U.S. Watt twice received the department’s Medal of Valor. Watt served thirty-six years with the police department, filling roles in a multitude of assignments, including lead firearms instructor and as a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics team for 13 years. Recently retired, Watt served as the Chief of Police of the Ogden, Utah Police Department.
